The Pesach Haggadah instructs each person to see themselves as if they personally came out of Egypt. How can we tap into this feeling of freedom in our often fast-paced lives, with all its challenges and commitments?
Jewish meditation invites us to experience Pesach from the inside. If we accept the invitation, the festival becomes more than the recollection of an event long ago and far away – it becomes something very real that we can experience here and now.
Join Zac Newman, Community Director of HaMakom (the UK’s centre for Jewish meditation), as he explains the connection between Pesach and meditation. This session will include:
Zac has been teaching meditation for over a decade, including in workplaces, retreats, conferences, schools and a wide variety of other venues. In addition to his teaching for HaMakom, Zac also teaches for Or HaLev and the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. He is a long-time teacher of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme. Zac trained to teach through the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice at Bangor University. He has spent extensive time on retreat.
