SUMMARY:Queer Tribe goes to Theatre Ariel
DESCRIPTION:Join the Queer Tribe for a night of fantastic queer theatre! \nShow starts at 8:00pm\, but folks can meet up at 6:00pm at Garage at 15th and Spruce for drinks and snacks before the show. \n‘Marsha Blovotnick and the Marvelous Magical Chicken Soup:\nMarsha is angry. At the world. At her ex-wives. At her nephew. And especially at her sister — who has just invited herself over for Shabbat dinner. Marsha doesn’t know how she’ll get through the evening… and then a mysterious ancestor appears bearing a pot of magical chicken soup that just might heal the world. Will Marsha simmer down long enough to actually serve the magical soup? Could this “Jewish penicillin” truly be the cure for what annoys her? Find out in this hysterical and tender World Premiere from one of Philly’s funniest writers!

SUMMARY:GLOE at Theater J: An Enemy of the People
DESCRIPTION:Mimosa reception: 12:45 PM | Play: 2:00 PM \nJoin GLOE for a mimosa matinee reception before Theater J’s production of An Enemy of the People\, written by Henrik Ibsen and newly adapted by Amy Herzog. Each ticket holder will get light brunch refreshment\, including coffee and bagels\, and mimosas. \nGet your ticket to the play here and make sure to use code MIMOSA to let us know you’re coming. \nAbout the Play:An Enemy of the People follows a small-town doctor who considers himself a proud\, upstanding member of his close-knit community. When he discovers the town’s water supply is polluted\, an issue that risks the lives of all citizens\, he raises the alarm. But he is shaken to his core when those in power\, including his own brother\, try not only to silence him\, but to destroy him. \nDrama Desk Award winner for Outstanding Adaptation and recent Broadway sensation\, Amy Herzog’s work unearths the relevance of Ibsen’s tale for our time\, weighing the cost of standing up to power when pressured into silence. Ibsen’s tale highlights the reverberating power of citizens who go against the status quo to do what’s right by their community.

SUMMARY:Two Jews Walk into a War… at NJT
DESCRIPTION:Ishaq and Zeblyan are the last remaining Jews in Afghanistan. They share the only remaining synagogue that has not been destroyed by the Taliban. SUMMARY:The Jewish Question: A Comedic Lament
DESCRIPTION:ONE NIGHT ONLY – TICKETS JUST $18!  July 22nd\, 7pm \nIn a remarkably original and funny work\, Eric Jaffe tells the story of growing up in the shadow of the Holocaust\, while also coming of age at a time when genuine acceptance–not only of Jews but of all people–seemed within reach. Ranging from Transylvania to Bangladesh\, from Sweden to NYC\, and drawing on everything from Socrates to professional wrestling\, it’s a story of hope\, disappointment\, and the clash between youthful idealism and the realities of the Jewish experience. \nEric Jaffe is known for his hilarious and pointed takes on the ironies of American life. Whether channeling characters from his wild college days\, poking fun at corporate absurdities\, or examining the vicissitudes Jewish life\, Jaffe’s stories invite audiences to laugh\, reflect\, and see themselves in new ways.

SUMMARY:Pride Night at The Berlin Diaries
DESCRIPTION:Reception: 5:30 PM | Play Start Time: 7:30 PM \nJoin us for light refreshments preceding Andrea Stolowitz’s The Berlin Diaries. Each ticket holder will receive a complimentary glass of wine/soft drink or snack from the concessions stand. \nGet your ticket to the play here and make sure to use promo code PRIDE25 so you can get a discount and so we know you’re coming. \nAbout the Play:Oregon Book Award-winning playwright Andrea Stolowitz opens the pages of her great-grandfather’s journal to discover a previously unknown genealogy in The Berlin Diaries. How do you find home when a family history is scattered like the torn pages of a journal entry released to the wind? Two performers become generations of characters in an attempt to stitch together clues and restore memories formerly lost to time. \nHow do people become verschollen\, lost\, like library books\, leaving only the dusty outline – a life reduced to negative space? Stolowitz searches for clues that propel her forward and backward in time\, pursuing a family history formerly lost to war. In a breathtaking journey around the world\, what will remain lost and what will be found at the intersection of national history and private lives?

SUMMARY:Love Isn't Blind: Jewish Edition!
DESCRIPTION:Tired of swiping? In this dating experiment\, men compete on stage for one lucky bachelorette\, with the little caveat that the men can’t speak. Through a series of games – which includes calling the boys’ moms and unlocking their phones – we narrow it down to two men. Finally\, we hear their voices\, and the lucky winning man is sent with our bachelorette to the bar for an immediate date. Audience members wear wristbands according to their relationship status\, and a wingcouple (who wears actual wings) helps those of you who are too shy to make a move. This show has been featured on the Tamron Hall Show\, in LA Magazine\, on NBC’s California Live\, and more. \nCreated and hosted by Allison Goldberg. \nWant to be in the show? APPLY HERE. \nOr submit your single friends HERE. \nPS! Pre and post-show mingling and drinks!
