DESCRIPTION:Learn to craft cocktails and unleash your creativity with our in-house mixologist\, Nini! \nThis four-part course builds your skills week by week – from mastering the basics of bartending to designing your own signature drink. \nEach session introduces a new theme\, with hands-on recipes\, insider tips\, and plenty of time to schmooze. While classes can be booked individually\, we highly encourage completing the full course for the best experience\, culminating in a final showcase and certificate of participation. \nPlease contact gianina@jw3.org.uk to notify us of any food allergies as soon as possible upon booking. \nWhat You’ll Learn \n3 June | Session 1: Shake It ‘Til You Make It\nKick off your cocktail journey with a hands-on introduction to bartending. You’ll explore the history of mixology\, get familiar with essential tools and techniques\, and learn how different spirits\, syrups\, and garnishes work together. By the end of the session\, you’ll create your first cocktail and mocktail with confidence. \n17 June | Session 2: Sip Around the World\nTravel the globe without leaving the bar! In this interactive session\, we’ll explore cocktail cultures and drinking traditions from different countries\, sharing experiences and discovering new favourites. You’ll make a selection of international cocktails and mocktails – no passport required. \n24 June | Session 3: Sweet Treats & Indulgent Creations\nThis session focuses on fruity and dessert-inspired creations\, teaching you how to prepare beautiful garnishes and balance sweetness in a selection of cocktails and mocktails. You’ll also begin designing your own signature drinks in groups\, in preparation for the final showcase. \n8 July | Session 4: The Final Showcase – Create & Celebrate\nPut your skills to the test in a fun and creative finale. Learn how to host your own cocktail party\, experiment with exciting presentation techniques\, and craft a unique signature drink with your team. You’ll present your creation\, sample each other’s drinks\, and celebrate your achievements with a well-earned certificate.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for an hour of learning and discussion in Yiddish and English about the erotic\, surprising and queer Shir HaShirim (Song of Songs). Led in Yiddish with live English translation\, we will look at the original Hebrew text of Shir HaShirim alongside Yiddish and English translations. She teaches at the University of Cambridge\, Workers’ Circle\, Jewish Care and elsewhere. She also co-founded and co-leads Di londoner shpilers (The London Yiddish Players)\, London’s first Yiddish theatre company in decades. She participated in Queer Yeshiva (gleefully) in 2025. \nQueer Yeshiva leads rigorous\, immersive and inclusive Jewish learning in the UK\, wrestling with Jewish knowledge and tradition through an explicitly Queer lens. We unlock Talmud and other sacred texts through events\, courses and resources\, by Queer Jews\, for Queer Jews. \nA booking fee of £2 and a security levy of £1.50 will be added to all orders. DESCRIPTION:Led by a student Soferet (scribe)\, this relaxed\, hands-on workshop will give you the chance to learn about the traditional way to write our sacred texts. You’ll learn how to write in the Beit Yosef script\, a common Ashkenazi script\, starting off with calligraphy marker pens and then writing with quill pens and oak gall ink. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions about the work and traditions of Jewish Scribal Art.
