SUMMARY:High Holy Days 2023
DESCRIPTION:Ohel Ayalah offers a free\, walk-in service to meet the needs of any Jew or guest\, in particular\, Jews in their 20s or 30s\, who do not have a place to pray on the High Holidays.\n\nMost synagogues require the purchase of a ticket to attend their High Holiday services. Ohel Ayalah does not. Ohel Ayalah believes the Jewish public should be able to worship at services that are free and open to all. Every Jew should be embraced. However\, we respect the need of synagogues to charge fees to help defray the costs of their High Holiday services.\n\nthree guys\, HH12At Ohel Ayalah\, it is possible for a Jew to wake up on Rosh Hashanah morning or Kol Nidrei night and say\, “I feel like going to the synagogue today (or tonight) and being with other Jews.”\n\nThe free\, walk-in service at Ohel Ayalah means that Jews can join a celebration of the High Holidays without having to decide in advance. Every Jew should feel welcome in a synagogue on the High Holidays\, whether or not they are a member\, whether or not they made advance arrangements to attend\, and whether or not they purchase a ticket. This is the mission of Ohel Ayalah.

SUMMARY:Young Professionals Rosh Hashanah Shabbat Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Don your finest to celebrate and reflect 5784 with friends you know and those you’ve yet to meet over a special erev Rosh Hashanah dinner for Young Professionals (ages 21-39). Register now! \nFollowing the dinner\, you are invited to join us for our Shir Chadash service\, a lively\, participatory experience to usher in the New Year. \nRosh Hashanah is both a joyous time and a period of serious religious reflection. One of the common customs of Rosh Hashanah is to eat apples dipped in honey and to wish others a “sweet” New Year. The preeminent symbol\, however\, is that of blowing the shofar — a “trumpet” generally made from the horn of a ram (because of its association to the binding of Isaac\, the Torah portion read for Rosh Hashanah). The shofar also should be bent or curved in a shape to symbolize the bent and humbled spirit appropriate on Rosh Hashanah. \nLearn more about High Holy Days at Emanu-El. Click here for the full High Holy Days service schedule.

Jewish Singles preferably.\n\n\n\n Basic information you need to know:\nWhat sets Lightning Jewish Speed Events apart from other mixers?\n\nWe take a conservative approach when it comes to the frequency of our events. Unlike others who host numerous events each week\, we have listened to our members and recognized the importance of maintaining value in our gatherings. Based on their feedback\, we have limited our events to once every quarter. The response has been incredible\, with rooms filled with Jewish singles from South Florida who are eager to connect with others in the community. Additionally\, our events are hosted by someone who shares the same Jewish background\, ensuring a fun and engaging atmosphere. We encourage interaction among attendees through ice breaker games that facilitate mingling and connection. BRING A FRIEND AND BE THEIR JEWISH WINGMAN-LADY AT THE EVENT.\n\nIf you’re seeking a change in how you meet other Jewish community members\, we invite you to attend our face-to-face events. Step away from the monotonous Zoom gatherings and make room for in-person interactions that allow you to meet Jewish singles who are ready to connect with you.\n\nOne of the reasons our events are so affordable is because we believe in providing an opportunity to meet many Jewish singles in a single evening\, increasing your chances of finding that special someone. Once you make a match\, you can plan to meet again in the near future. Unlike some Jewish matchmakers who charge exorbitant fees to introduce you to potential matches\, our events offer a cost-effective alternative.\n\nThere are a few conditions to be aware of when attending our events:\n\nPlease provide us with a 24-hour notice if you are unable to attend\, and we can provide you with a voucher for a future event (subject to restrictions).\nWe kindly ask for your understanding that we are not responsible for no-shows.\nYou will receive a scorecard to keep track of the people you meet and mingle with. These selections can be entered into our state-of-the-art algorithm\, which will calculate the matches and send you the results. A match requires two “yes” responses.\nOur event format is not the traditional seated speed dating. Instead\, we offer a Padlock and Key Ice Breaker Game\, which helps break the ice and provides the opportunity to win door prizes.\nThe upcoming event is scheduled a week before Rosh Hashanah to accommodate those who may be out of town during the holidays. We hope to see you there.\nThe cost of tickets varies depending on the purchase date. Early Bird Tickets are available until July 31st\, after which prices will increase until August 15th. Ticket prices will be higher between August 16th and September 10th. Tickets can also be purchased at the door\, but they will be more expensive.\n\nThe event will take place at a hotel in Downtown Tampa. In the event of any venue changes due to scheduling conflicts with the venue management\, all ticket holders will receive email notifications. To stay updated\, be sure to secure your tickets in advance.\nYour ticket includes one drink\, fun activities\, door prizes\, and the chance to potentially meet your beshert (soulmate).\nThe next Jewish event is planned for December 24th.\nThere’s no need to be nervous—have a glass of wine or beer and enjoy yourself.\nCollaborating with Chabad houses in Tampa and WingMan-Lady Singles Mixers. \nPlease note that all our events have a non-refundable policy.
