SUMMARY:Monthly Shabbat Dinner: Outdoor Edition
DESCRIPTION:Join Tribe 12 for our Monthly Shabbat Gathering! We will join at the Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History to light Shabbat candles\, take part in a shared meal\, and enjoy the peace of welcoming Shabbat with each other. There will be light schmoozing when you arrive and we will gather at round tables with open seating for ritual\, blessings and delicious challah at 6:45pm. \nThis month we will be serving: Italian food! Dinner is vegetarian and served buffet style. A more detailed menu will be provided the day before the event. Please reach out to amanda.graff@tribe12.org by Monday 7/13 if you need hechshered (Kosher-certified) food or other food-related accommodations\, and please indicate in the line provided on OneTable if you have any other dietary restrictions. Come hungry\, bring your friends\, and let’s make it a night to remember! \nEarly bird (£25) till 13th July \nGeneral sale (£30) till 4th Aug \nIt’s my first time coming along\, AHHH! \nComing to an event for the first time can be a scary experience\, especially if you are new in town or haven’t done anything like this before. So please email me to say hello atgianina@jw3.org.ukand I will make sure you’re welcomed when you arrive. \nI’m not in my 20s or 30s. Can I still come? \nWe’re glad you’re interested\, but this event is specifically geared towards people in their 20s and 30s! \nOur Young JW3 community is all about building a safe and welcoming space\, and we kindly ask that you respect this age guidance. \nDo I have to dress in a particular way? \nThere is no one way to dress for Friday night dinners. Some have the tradition of wearing their best clothes\, others like to be more casual\, a few of us may be coming straight from work in whatever we put on that morning. Whatever makes you feel good! \nDo I have to be a particular type of Jew to join? \nDefinitely not! Our Friday Nights are open to anyone who’s interested in marking the end of the week with friends\, food\, drink\, and good conversation. \nI’m [insert dietary requirements here]. Will there be food for me? \nOf course! All our food is certified Kosher and we can cater to additional dietary requirements (e.g. veggie/vegan) upon request. Rooted in the idea of Kavannah (intention and mindful presence)\, the session combines gentle movement\, breathwork and stillness to explore how we can cultivate light from within. \nNo experience is needed – just come as you are.
