DESCRIPTION:Julia Hockman (CIT ’14) is inviting everyone who has attended Pinemere to come and join us for Shabbat! If you went to Pinemere as a kid or worked as a staff member this applies to you! Prior to the event you will get an email with the full menu. Please reach out to julia@tribe12.org with any questions. \nWe will join at the Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History to light Shabbat candles\, enjoy a vegetarian meal and enjoy the peace of Shabbat with each other. There will be light schmoozing when you arrive and we will gather for ritual and blessings at 6:45pm. There will be round tables set-up that seat up to 10 people and seating is open. Challah\, grape juice\, wine\, water\, seltzer\, and a vegetarian meal will be provided. It will be buffet style. A more detailed menu will be provided the day before the event. Please reach out to Julia by Monday 2/3 if you need hechshered food or other food-related accommodations. DESCRIPTION:Hello Asian Jewish Chicago! You know what they say\, new (lunar) year\, new LUNAR hub. Prepare yourself for all you can eat hot pot\, some casual Jewish learning\, and perhaps a board game or two. This is a brand new hub\, people—so join us in helping shape what it looks like at its first event.  \n \nThis event is open to Asian American Jews. LUNAR defines ‘Asian American Jews’ as folks who identify as both Jewish (whether by heritage\, religion or culture) and Asian American – this includes mixed race folks\, transracial adoptees\, Asian Jews by Choice\, and more. We fully welcome those in the process of converting to Judaism\, or simply exploring Judaism.  \n \nThis event is free to attend\, with a suggested donation of $15. Donations help to cover food\, supplies\, and venue costs. Whether or not you choose to donate\, your food will be covered for this event!
