SUMMARY:Zoom Event for Torah Observant Singles Ages 22-33 July 7th 2pm EST Living Across the USA & Canada
DESCRIPTION:People have found new connections by meeting people “live” on Zoom. The break-out rooms are not speed-dating. They are an opportunity to meet many potential matches  in a relaxed\, moderated atmosphere. Some of the most amazing and unexpected matches come from these types of events. If you haven’t yet tried this method of meeting new people\, give it a try. \n\n\n\nThis Zoom event on July 7\, 2024 at 2pm EST is those aged 22-33 who are Torah Observant singles (Modern Orthodox\, Yeshivish\, Lubavitch and Chassidish) Living in the USA or Canada.  \n\n\n\nCost:   Tickets are $30 if you are a current paid member of SYAS or a partner site if you register by July 4th in EST time.  After July 4th\, the tickets are $40. There is a $4.95 surcharge if you are not a current paid member on Saw You at Sinai or a partner site.  \n\n\n\n*Please note that in order for your application to get properly submitted\, your Saw You at Sinai or partner site profile that you are using to apply for this event must be in active status (ie your profile must not be “inactive.”)  Please continue to keep your profile in active status after you apply and for a few weeks after the event so that we can do match follow up for you!*FAQ \n\n\n\nQ. Can you tell me more about how the evening is structured?A.  Sure! There will be break out rooms where singles will get the opportunity to meet each other and indicate if there is interest. Based on your feedback on the event participants\, Laurie Young and Kim Solomon will try to make match suggestions. Watch this 2 minute video for more details about the break out rooms.  After this video\, there is a playlist of Feedback Review Videos from previous participants of Zoom Dating Events so you can hear what actual guests had to say.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6fdx733cb0&list=PLthLtQSByLIfa_2_ivlm0LPtRaKYnArjL&index=1 \n\n\n\nQ. After I apply for the event\, how long until I find out if I am accepted? \n\n\n\nAcceptances are generally sent out no later than 2 days before the event.  \n\n\n\nQ. How will I know if I successfully applied and was accepted to the event? \n\n\n\nThis is a two step email process. First your credit card payment is acknowledged but not charged when you apply. If you are accepted to the event\, your card will be charged and you will be notified that you were accepted. \n\n\n\nQ. Do I need to have a Saw You at Sinai profile to register for this event?A. You need to have either a Saw You at Sinai or a partner site profile to register for this event. (A basic or limited profile is okay to use to apply for the event.) You can create a SYAS or partner site profile for this event if you do not already have one. To have an inactivate old profile reactivated or for further questions about this\, please contact Kim Solomon at zoomdating@sawyouatsinai.com for help.Q. Do I have to pay when I register?A. You must enter your credit card information to be considered for the event. You will NOT actually be charged unless you are accepted to the event. When you complete the registration application\, there will only be a pre-authoirzation charge that will clear and an “authorization” receipt will be emailed to you but the charge will not actually be processed unless you are accepted to the event. \n\n\n\nQ. Will I automatically be included in the eventif I register and enter my credit card information?A. Events are limited in size and will be curated for the most compatible group. Not everyone who registers will be able to attend.  You will receive a notice whether you are accepted or not within a couple of days of the event (sometimes sooner)\, unless you apply closer to when the event begins. \n\n\n\nQ. When should I apply for this event? We recommend that you apply for the event as soon as possible because sometimes we get sold out days before the event. In addition\, please note that if you apply the day of the event than even if we are not sold out than we might not be able to get you registered in time. \n\n\n\nQ. How long will this event last?A. Zoom Dating Events generally run about 1 and 1/2 hours.  \n\n\n\nQ. Can I have a refund if I cancel?A. If you let us know 48 hours before the event that you are not able to come and you request a refund then we can issue you a refund. \n\n\n\nQ. If I am accepted into the event\, when will I receive the Guide to the Event (Zoom link\, questions asked at the event and other information)?A. You will receive the Guide to the Event by email 1 to 2 days before the event. \n\n\n\nQ. Is there an RSVP date?A. No\, but we sometimes sell out of men’s or women’s tickets so the sooner you apply\, the more likely you are to get accepted. We tend to prioritze applications in the order in which they were received. \n\n\n\nMore questions: Please contact Kim Solomon at zoomdating@sawyouatsinai.com or Laurie Young at 929-399-5593.

SUMMARY:Explore Israel's Resilience: Wine-Tasting Event with Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM)
DESCRIPTION:RSVP: https://access.yjp.org/e/jhgp_2m \nIsrael’s Wine Diplomacy with Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) \nWe extend an invitation to an evening that explores the unexpected alliance between wine\, warfare\, and the battle against hate. This event will feature selections from extraordinary wineries\, many of which have felt the impact of Israel’s security challenges firsthand. We aim to narrate the story of a rejuvenated world\, rooted deeply in its heritage and its people\, through the lens of wine. \nThe Israeli wine industry weaves a captivating narrative of ancient heritage intertwined with modern innovation\, exemplifying Israel’s connection to history and its forward-thinking spirit through viticulture. Historically\, Israel was among the world’s leading wine producers 3\,500 years ago\, renowned for its exceptional grape cultivation. However\, with the arrival of Muslim invasions\, vineyards gave way to olive groves until the establishment of Israel\, when viticulture was revitalized. Leveraging Start-Up Nation technologies\, Israel’s wine industry burgeoned from 90 wineries in the 1990s to over 400 today. \nThese wineries\, spanning from north to south\, often find themselves on the frontlines of national defense. Many owners have been summoned for reserve duty\, and since October\, the industry has faced significant losses yet has shown remarkable resilience. Wine holds a sacred place in Jewish history\, integral to religious rituals and now serving as a beacon of hope. \nLeading this unique initiative are CAM CEO Sacha Roytman and CAM Director of Community Engagement Shira Granot\, with the Israel Wine Collection (IWC) at the forefront. The IWC project illuminates the rich tapestry of Israel’s history and its innovative essence through its wine making\, showcasing selections from over 30 wineries.
