SUMMARY:Purim Masquerade Party with GLOE and Partners
DESCRIPTION:Let’s come together in community and partake in the traditions of Purim\, a holiday celebrating joyous self-expression and revelry. Join GLOE\, the LGBTQ program of the Edlavitch DCJCC\, and our partners for a Purim celebration at Franklin Hall. Make sure to come dressed in your best costume for our costume contest (prizes for most creative\, funniest\, best duo or group\, and best Purim-themed). There will be drag performances\, tarot card readings\, and of course hamantaschen and other Kosher snacks. All are welcome – friends\, partners\, allies\, and community members. \nPurim is a holiday of celebration but also one where we give gifts to those in need: we will be collecting donations of toothpaste and toothbrushes that will be given to those in our community in need as part of the EDCJCC’s Good Deeds Day. This event is open to those ages 21+. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Want to come for free? Sign up here to volunteer with registration at the event.
