DESCRIPTION:Past Continuous charts the journey through the history of the LGBTQI+ struggle for rights and recognition through the two unique\, funny and honest characters\, Ilan Buchman and Oscar Shub. The making of the film followed their marriage after their then relationship of 47 years (now 53 years)\, which took place at the Emanuel Synagogue\, Sydney. It was the first same sex marriage under the legislation in any religious institution in Australia. \n\n\n\nThe screening will be followed by a Q&A with Ilan and Oscar. \n\n\n\nJoin us for some ‘za\, reconnect with old friends or make some new ones\, and share a space with like-minded people. One of Crossroads Comedy Theater’s experienced improv instructors\, Rachel Semigran\, will guide the group through the activities. You’ll learn to let go of inhibitions\, trust your instincts\, and communicate authentically with others — a perfect environment to make genuine connections! \nThis event is designed for total beginners and people brand new to improv.
