DESCRIPTION:Boy I cannot help myself! Join me as we hike Quaker Lake via Appalachian Trail and Red Trail. All trails link below: \nQuaker Lake via Appalachian Trail and Red Trail on AllTrailshttps://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/quaker-lake-via-appalachian-trail-and-red-trail-loop \nThe Appalachian trail is over 2\,190 miles and the whole trail spans between Georgia and Maine. I think this hike will be the best yet because you’re walking on part of a national scenic trail as I mentioned before that spans through 14 different states. My reason as to why I picked this trail is because it’s simple\, the trail has a parking lot and easily walkable from the train station so there’s a convenience factor 😊 \nWe will take Metro North’s Harlem line to the Appalachian Trail station. Hike is approximately 2 and a half hours. \nAfterwards\, we will make our way down to O’Connor’s Public House which is a short walk from the Pawling train station. \nIt’s a schlep but I think it’s worth it! Some have the tradition of wearing their best clothes\, others like to be more casual\, a few of us may be coming straight from work in whatever we put on that morning. Whatever makes you feel good! \nDo I have to be a particular type of Jew to join? \nDefinitely not! Our Friday Nights are open to anyone who’s interested in marking the end of the week with friends\, food\, drink\, and good conversation. \nI’m [insert dietary requirements here]. Will there be food for me? \nOf course! All our food is certified Kosher and we can cater to additional dietary requirements (e.g. veggie/vegan) upon request. DESCRIPTION:The first Friday of each month\, our Shabbat activities start a little later. Most months\, there is also a post-service dinner available for the 2239 Young Professionals group.\n \nWe invite you to end your week and welcome Shabbat with us!\nAt 6:30 pm and again after the service: Have something to eat (to tide you over or as your dinner)\, a drink (we offer a full bar\, plus non-alcoholic options)\, and connect with your community. \nKids are always welcome\, and they’ll be able to eat before (and after) the service\, play Connect 4\,  or create at a coloring table. \n7:00 pm – Our Shabbat service begins. \nWatch the Livestream \nAfter the service – Stay for dessert\, or more food and drinks! \nRegistration for the 2239 dinner coming soon! \nSpecial thanks to our musicians who add so much to the service.
