DESCRIPTION:Join Tribe 12 for our Monthly Shabbat Gathering: Summer Edition! We will stay cool in the air conditioned Weitzman Museum of American Jewish History to light Shabbos candles\, enjoy a vegetarian meal and enjoy the peace of Shabbat with each other. \nWe will be meeting on the concourse level of the museum. The museum is ADA accessible. When you arrive head down the stairs or take the elevator down to C.  \nThere will be light schmoozing when you arrive and we will gather for ritual and blessings at 6:45pm. There will be round tables set-up that seat up to 10 people and seating is open. Challah\, grape juice\, wine\, water\, seltzer\, and a vegetarian meal will be provided. It will be buffet style. A more detailed menu will be provided the day before the event.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome the month of Tammuz with Tribe 12’s Moon Circle. Join Simi Toledano outdoors (weather permitting) at Blue Bell Park for ritual\, discussion and connection. This time of year in the Jewish calendar\, we honor a three week period of mourning that takes place between the 17th of Tammuz and the 9th of Av. This time of intense emotions during the heat of summer is an opportunity to slow down and be present with our emotions and to explore collective grief while remaining open to hope and transformation. \n  \nContact information and exact location will be emailed to registered participants one-day prior to the event. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a notebook and pen for journal reflections. We welcome all people who self-identify with or as women\, genderqueer\, gender-nonconforming\, and nonbinary. The $5 registration fee helps to cover the cost of snacks and allows us to have an accurate headcount. DESCRIPTION:Join ATID on Sunday\, July 14th at 9:15 AM for a 3 mile (round-trip) hike to a viewpoint above the end of Los Liones trail!\n\n\nJoin ATID on Sunday\, July 14th at 9:15 AM for a 3 mile (round-trip) hike with 750 feet elevation gain to a viewpoint above the end of Los Liones trail! This lush hike features views of Santa Monica and much of the westside and is expected to take about 1 hour and 45 minutes. \n \nIn accordance with Sinai Temple’s COVID-19 protocols (https://www.sinaitemple.org/covid-19/)\, please stay home if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms or have been directly exposed to someone with Covid-19. \n \nBring: At least two liters of water\, good hiking shoes\, long pants\, sun protection (sunscreen\, hat)\, layered clothing\, a snack\, and of course a big smile on your face! \n \nTransportation/Parking: Use 580 Los Liones Dr\, Pacific Palisades\, CA 90272 for GPS purposes. Free parking is available along the side of Los Liones drive leading the the trailhead\, but do not use the church parking lot. Or take the 602 bus from Westwood to Sunset/PCH and walk 20 minutes to our meeting point. \n \nMeeting Point: Meet just outside the trail gate at the end of the cul-de-sac at 580 Los Liones Dr\, Pacific Palisades\, CA 90272. If you are running more than 10-15 minutes late and we have already started\, catch up to us on Los Liones trail. We’ll be taking the trail 1.3 miles to the end and then proceeding an addition 0.2 miles up the fire road to a overlook on the right. \n \nDogs: Because our route will take us into Topanga State Park\, dogs are unfortunately not allowed. \n \nImportant Disclaimer and Release of Liability: The organizer of this activity is a volunteer and is not a professional guide.
