Unwind from the week and bring in the joy of Shabbat with song and prayer as we create spirited—and spiritual—Shabbat vibes together. After services\, connect over a delicious kosher dinner. \nAt 6:30 PM\, join us for a happy hour before Kabbalat Shabbat services at 7:00 PM\, followed by dinner beginning around 8:00 PM. \nKabbalat Shabbat and happy hour will be in Frankel Hall (regulars\, note the different location!). While the full series will include programs that anyone can “drop in” for\, the kickoff is exclusively for those who choose to be part of the cohort. See below for all the details! \nIf you are not joining the cohort but would still like to celebrate Shabbat that evening\, note that Tribe 12’s regular Monthly Shabbat Dinner is happening at the same time. \n  \n— \nShabbat is a day of rest\, joy\, and connection\, and there are many ways to experience it. Maybe you want a break from your phone for a day\, or even just for a few hours\, but that might feel lonely. Maybe you’ve been wanting to check out a synagogue in town\, but don’t want to go by yourself. Maybe you want to connect over a leisurely Shabbat lunch and songs with other people\, feeling like there’s nowhere you have to rush off to\, just being fully in the moment. \nThis is the inspiration for our Shabbat Exploration Series. Each month from January to June\, Jewish 20s and 30s will come together for a different Saturday morning Shabbat experience\, rotating between synagogue-based ones and home/nature-based ones. This is a chance to explore different ways of doing Shabbat to see what fits for you individually\, while also forming friendships with others who are doing the same. The experiences are open to people who currently have any level of Shabbat observance\, including zero experience\, and there is no end goal regarding how you observe. Tribe 12 Rabbinic Intern Adina Ikeman and Tribe 12 Director of Engagement(s) Danielle Selber will lead these experiences. \nYou can drop in to individual experiences or sign up to be part of the cohort (people who commit to the whole series). \nParticipation options:  \nDrop in to individual experiences: Just interested in one or two offerings? You can register for any individual experience on Tribe 12’s website just like any other program. \n\n$5 for synagogue-based experiences (includes a meal)\n$10 for home- or nature-based experiences (includes a meal)\n\nJoin the cohort: Want to enjoy the full arc of the program? DESCRIPTION:Join Mat and Spoons Tribe on Zoom for a peer support gathering focused on whatever is relevant for attendees. Cameras on or off\, talkative or quiet\, everything is welcome. We’ll share practical strategies for conserving energy\, setting boundaries\, and finding small pockets of ease\, with time for supportive conversation. \nThe Spoons Tribe is a new space to find community around disability\, chronic illness\, mental health\, and fluctuating “spoons” or energy moments. We gather monthly on Zoom\, and every other month in-person\, to focus on building community that honors rest\, accessibility\, and the pace of our own bodies and lives. Gatherings may include gentle conversation\, creative expression\, easy adventure\, or simply shared presence – always with the understanding that participation looks different for everyone. This is a space to connect without pressure\, slow down\, and be nourished by Jewish community. \nEveryone is welcome\, you don’t need a diagnosis or to identify a certain way to participate in Spoons Tribe. And to note\, Spoons Tribes events will always be dry\, alcohol-free\, events.
