SUMMARY:Love Isn't Blind: Golden Edition
DESCRIPTION:The comedy/dating show where the men can’t speak.\n\n\nThis special (and first-ever) “Golden” Love Isn’t Blind is a part of the 2026 Ladies of Laughter Comedy Fest: Celebrating Funny Jewish Women. For more information about the festival and to purchase tickets to other festival events please visit www.jewishsgpv.org. \nLove Isn’t Blind \nTired of swiping? In this dating experiment\, men compete on stage for one lucky bachelorette\, with the little caveat that the men can’t speak. Through a series of games – which includes calling the MEN’S ADULT KIDS and unlocking their phones – we narrow it down to two men. Finally\, we hear their voices\, and the lucky winning man is sent with our bachelorette to the bar for an immediate date. Audience members wear wristbands according to their relationship status\, and wingpeople (who wear actual wings) help y’all meet each other. This show has been feastured in LA Magazine\, on The Tamron Hall Show\, California Live\, & more. \nWant to be in the show or nominate your parents? APPLY // NOMINATE \nCreated and hosted by Allison Goldberg. \nTemple Beth Israel of Highland Park \nTBI is a dual-affiliated reform & conservative synagogue in northeast LA. It is the oldest continually operating synagogue in Los Angeles\, with services on Friday nights and Saturday mornings. \n*Everyone is welcome!!

SUMMARY:Interfaith Social Justice Book Club: Still Born
DESCRIPTION:Dive into powerful literature alongside community members of B’nai Jeshurun and St. Paul & St. Andrew\, as we join together in exploring books that amplify social justice themes. Each month\, we’ll gather together in person to reflect on and discuss our monthly read. We’ll read both fiction and nonfiction works that wrestle with the intersecting injustices we collectively face. \nThis month we’re reading *Still Born* by Guadalupe Nettel\, translated by Rosalind Harvey. *Still Born* is the story of two independent and career-driven women in their mid-thirties\, neither of whom have built their future around the prospect of a family. One has taken the drastic decision to be sterilised\, but as time goes by the other becomes drawn to the idea of becoming a mother.
