Wine plays a central role in most holy moments\, whiskey and lechayims appear on Shabbat and wedding tables\, and we even have a holiday where we are commanded to drink (Purim). And yet\, the Talmud also has stories of lives being ruined literally and figuratively by alcohol. Join us for a four-part series to learn a bit more\, while we enjoy local beer\, wine\, and whiskey. In groups\, we’ll head into the kitchen to construct our perfect sandwich with the featured ingredients of your choice. While we nosh\, Rabbi Jeff will guide us in some learning about international Jewish communities\, inspired by the areas reflected in our featured ingredients. \nDue to the generosity of donors\, subsidized tickets are available for $25 per person.
