We will be meeting on the concourse level of the Weitzman Museum\, where our offices are based. The museum is ADA accessible. When you arrive head down the stairs or take the elevator down to C.  \nThere will be light schmoozing when you arrive and we will gather for Harlam style ritual and blessings at 6:45pm. There will be round tables set-up that seat up to 10 people and seating is open. Challah\, grape juice\, wine\, water\, seltzer\, and a vegetarian meal will be provided. It will be buffet style. A more detailed menu will be provided the day before the event.

Unkosher Comedy serves as a convenient excuse to tell your nagging family that you celebrated Shabbat\, all while having a drink and enjoying some seriously funny Jewish stand-up. \nThe Brooklyn Comedy Collective (BCC) is an alt comedy theater and school in East Williamsburg\, Brooklyn with a mission to produce irreverent\, fearless shows from a wide range of voices\, pay its artists\, and inspire students to approach performance from a place of joy and fierceness. \nReid Pope is a stand-up comedian\, playwright\, and Jew (despite the ironic last name) who’s been featured in PAPER\, Vulture\, and Boys With Plants Magazine. They serve as the Head Writer and Executive Producer of Late Stage Live: a trans-led monthly late night comedy news show on Brooklyn public access [read about it in Them and Jezebel].Jeremy O. Harris recently shortlisted Reid’s play amino amino amino amino amino amino amino amino amino for the 2024 Yale Drama Prize. Reid’s play Holocaust Lit! was selected for Fault Line Theatre’s “Irons In The Fire” (2024) and their play Cuntboy & Dickgirl (or: Biology Play) received the Parity Productions Award. DESCRIPTION:As we mourn the tragic losses of Hersh Goldberg-Polin\, Eden Yerushalmi\, Carmel Gat\, Almog Sarusi\, Alexander Lobanov\, and Ori Danino\, The Well is holding a small group space on Saturday\, September 7th to share\, listen\, and see that you are not alone in asking hard questions. We will also be learning together about T’shuvah\, and how we can apply this idea to this moment in our lives and in the context of war. The only thing we promise is that we will not have all the answers\, and we commit to sharing space with openness\, curiosity\, and respect. \nTo best facilitate conversation\, this gathering will have limited capacity. If this session fills up\, we’ll open a waitlist and will find a date for a second session. Location will be in Royal Oak but exact address will only be emailed to registered participants the day before the program.
