Think about it…Just as there are countless varietals of wine\, each with its own flavor profile and history\, the LGBTQ+ community is made up of diverse identities and personal stories. Then there’s the concept of terroir —how a wine’s flavor is influenced by its environment—sound familiar? And lest we forget that grapes must often withstand adverse conditions to produce wine\, just like the LGBTQ+ community’s resilience and adaptivity. Ok\, now that we’ve established that a wine tasting is the perfect way to dive into talking about the Jewish LGBTQ+ experience\, we would like to formally invite you to a wine tasting and storytelling event featuring four fabulous wines and four equally fabulous community members who will share their stories. Our goal is to create a fun and raucous experience that honors the tradition of Shabbat for everyone who might feel out-of-place in traditional spaces. \n8pm – Doors Open. \n9pm – Doors Closed & Kiddush. \n9:30pm – The Sinful Parshah Presentation & Special Performances. \n10pm-12am – The Shabbat Revelry. \nIt wouldn’t be a Jew-ish event without food\, and a suspicious amount of carbs\, so challah and a hearty vegetarian dinner will be served. Limited complimentary wine will be provided\, you are welcome to BYOB. \nWhat to Wear: It’s a mitzvah (a commandment) to honor Shabbat by dressing to the nines. This edition’s theme is Black & Red. So bring out that leather\, latex\, and lingerie. No street clothes. Anyone not dressed up to our standards will be asked to submit for punishment by our guest pro dommes. Inspo for femmes.
