SUMMARY:Erin Walsh in Conversation with Gabby Bernstein:The Art of Intentional Dressing
DESCRIPTION:Celebrity stylist Erin Walsh helps dress A-list stars including Anne Hathaway and Selena Gomez. Now she wants to help you dress you. She joins us with New York Times-bestselling author and renowned spiritual speaker Gabby Bernstein to talk about her new book\, The Art of Intentional Dressing: Your Essential Style Guide for Manifesting a Magnetic Life. \nWalsh’s approach to fashion is centered on the idea that what you wear can empower you to manifest the life you want to live. Hear her talk with Bernstein about her “CREATE” method – the clarity\, ritual\, edit\, align\, truth\, expansion she urges us all to apply to building our wardrobes and getting dressed every day. Hear Walsh embolden you to trust your intuition\, see your closet as a portal of possibilities\, and dress for your destiny. Come away changing your internal question\, “What should I wear?” to “Who do I want to be today?” – then let your clothes help you be it.

SUMMARY:Unite Against Extremism: A half day conference committed to defending democratic values and pluralism
DESCRIPTION:Confronting extremism requires allies\, shared values\, and coordinated action. \nOn #EndJewHatred Day 2026\, we are convening interfaith leaders\, educators\, media voices\, policymakers\, and advocates in Midtown Manhattan for a half-day gathering focused on one urgent question: how do we meet the rise of extremism in our institutions\, schools\, and civic life — together? \nExtremist ideologies are no longer operating at the margins. They are shaping narratives in classrooms\, influencing public discourse\, and threatening democratic norms. “Unite Against Extremism” brings together courageous voices from across communities to confront these challenges directly\, expose what is fueling them\, and chart meaningful\, collective responses rooted in pluralism and democratic values. \nThis is not a passive gathering. It is a strategic conversation about standing firm\, building alliances\, and transforming concern into action. \nFor more information\, please visit: endjewhatred.com/unite-against-extremism \n\nThe Lawfare Project is a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a registered non-profit organization (EIN: 27-2402908) . The Lawfare Project is the leading organization leveraging the power of law to defend the civil rights of the Jewish people worldwide. Based in New York\, The Lawfare Project is a non-profit litigation fund and legal think tank with a global network of over 900 attorneys. Through bold and strategic impact litigation\, it is holding institutions accountable. The #EndJewHatred movement\, complements this work by empowering individuals\, shifting public discourse\, and building a global civil rights movement to make Jew-hatred as socially and politically unacceptable as any other form of bigotry. Through campus activism\, letter-writing campaigns\, and community mobilization\, it is creating tangible change.

SUMMARY:Rob Reiner: High Comedy to High Drama
DESCRIPTION:As a 24-year-old actor in the groundbreaking 1970’s TV series All in the Family\, Reiner rose to stardom playing the liberal son-in-law referred to as “Meathead” by his conservative father-in-law\, Archie Bunker.  \nFrom there\, Reiner went on to become one of the most versatile and accomplished American film directors of the last four decades. Richie Unterberger will show and discuss clips from throughout Reiner’s memorable acting and directing career. His unique talent was to create scenes that encompassed and blended riotous comedy and serious drama as evidenced in Spinal Tap\, When Harry Met Sally\, Stand by Me\, The Princess Bride\, and A Few Good Men. We’ll also be treated to rare material from outtakes\, trailers\, and TV shows\, with some featuring his father\, the esteemed comedian Carl Reiner.  \nRock historian Richie Unterberger is the author of numerous rock history books\, including volumes on the Beatles\, the Who\, the Velvet Underground\, Bob Marley\, and 1960s folk-rock. He teaches courses on rock and soul music history at several Bay Area colleges. His latest book\, San Francisco: Portrait of a City\, was published by Taschen in 2022.

SUMMARY:Dave Portnoy in Conversation:Cancel Me If You Can
DESCRIPTION:Dave Portnoy didn’t set out to be a political lightning rod — but love him or hate him\, he’s here to stay. Join the Barstool Sports founder for the unfiltered story of how he created a media empire. \nDave Portnoy built Barstool Sports by trusting his instincts — and refusing to soften his voice. Now\, in his new memoir Cancel Me If You Can\, he tells the story behind the persona: the risks\, missteps\, reinventions\, and stubborn persistence that carried him from handing out a scrappy Boston sports paper to leading a sprawling digital brand. \nWhat does it mean to build an audience by being unapologetically yourself? How do you navigate success when it arrives alongside scrutiny — and often\, backlash? Hear Portnoy in a candid conversation about ambition\, controversy\, and the evolving rules of media and public life. \nPhoto credit: Paul Morigi/Getty Images for The Stronach Group.

SUMMARY:The Last Generation: Film Screening
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special screening of The Last Generation\, an intimate documentary capturing a conversation between Evelyne\, a grandmother and Holocaust survivor\, and Matt\, her grandson. With these two generations side by side\, the documentary encapsulates the sacred act of remembering together\, preserving a story that can only be told in this shared space. \nEvelyne Appel was just a little girl when the world she knew disappeared. In this intimate short documentary\, she sits with her grandson\, Matt\, to revisit memories she has rarely spoken aloud– moments of survival\, loss\, resilience\, and unexpected hope. What emerges is a living testament to memory itself\, a reminder that when survivors speak and their grandchildren listen\, history stays alive. \nThis screening will be followed by a talk back from the film’s director Sophie Rose and producer Maddy Kramer\, as well as Evelyne\, and Matt. We will also invite participants to join in small group conversations\, to share their own family stories in honor of the film’s themes of historical rupture and intergenerational memory.

SUMMARY:May Day with Jews United for Justice
DESCRIPTION:Join JUFJers from across the region for a day of action and solidarity. The Trump regime and its billionaire allies are gutting union jobs in our region. They are hunting and killing people in the streets\, stripping away our rights\, overturning our laws\, desecrating our public lands\, and working overtime to entrench their own power. Now\, our elections are on the horizon. If we don’t take the reins this regime will move their intimidation from the streets to the polls. It’s time to make it clear we won’t accept anything less than elections that are free and fair\, and results that are respected. \nOn Friday\, May 1\, 2026\, we refuse to cooperate: No work. No school. No shopping. Get ready\, get organized\, and join the day of action. Together we’ll make it clear that our region’s workers\, our communities\, and our political power are worth fighting for — and anyone who comes for those will have to come through us. \nThe JUFJ contingent will meet\, alongside our faith partners at Washington Interfaith Network and Congregation Action Network\, at the northwest corner of the African American History Museum lawn at the intersection of 14th St and Constitution Ave NW. Nearby Metro stations include Archives (Green and Yellow lines) and Federal Triangle (Blue\, Silver\, and Orange lines). JUFJers will join We Are CASA on buses from Baltimore; let us know below if you would like a seat on a Baltimore bus.
