SUMMARY:Trybal Volunteers: Bubbes\, Birthdays\, and Bagels
DESCRIPTION:Spend an afternoon decorating cards and wrapping gifts for the elderly. For this event\, we will be partnering with DOROT\, a non-profit focused on alleviating social isolation and loneliness among older adults. \n???? Purchase a hand-picked birthday gift* for an isolated senior\, and wrap it at the event. \n???? Decorate unique homemade cards* to send to older adults for their birthdays\, holidays\, or “just because”. \n???? Nosh on some bagels and socialize with your fellow volunteers. \nRegister by Thurs 3/1 (Venmo @scott-kramer-14). To confirm registration\, you must rsvp as Going on Partiful after payment. Ticket sales help cover the cost of the classroom rental\, wrapping and art supplies\, and food. \nEmail trybalnyc@gmail.com or text Scott at 301-452-9189 with questions. We can’t wait to see you there! \nThis is a Trybal Ambassador event\, sponsored by Trybal Gatherings. If you are unfamiliar with Trybal Gatherings\, be sure to check out trybalgatherings.com for more information! \n*Each participant is expected to bring one $5-$10 birthday gift to the event (in addition to the $10 paid to help cover the event costs). Example birthday gifts include mugs\, blankets\, puzzle books\, books\, pens\, non-slip socks\, lotion\, jigsaw puzzles\, etc. \n*See the photo roll below for examples of cards that DOROT volunteers have made in the past and the community has loved!
