Join fellow singles and 2024 Tribe 12 Fellow Chef Matthew “Saul” Pohubka of Middle Child Clubhouse and Anonymous by Saul\, for a hands-on pasta-making experience. \nStart with an Italian pasta dinner and “pastabreakers” to get to know each other and find your small group. Chef Saul will give an intro to pasta making\, guide us in preparing fresh dough\, and show us how to make classic shapes like tortellini\, farfalle\, fettuccine\, and linguine with a pasta machine. As a special treat\, we will also make whipped ricotta-stuffed ravioli from scratch! Chef Saul will demonstrate how to cook the pasta at home and we will taste what we have created together. \nNote that we will be handling and consuming eggs\, gluten and dairy for this workshop. \n$36 includes a pasta dinner\, the 2.5 hour workshop\, and fresh pasta to take home. Recorded with producer Zach Mayer\, the album holds a simple understanding—we can’t heal what we won’t face\, but we’re not meant to face it alone. \nJoin David\, Zach\, and friends for an intimate concert in the round\, journeying through the full album beginning to end. This is more than a performance—it’s a shared space to breathe\, to feel\, and to abide together with what matters most. \n \nAbout Zach Mayer: \nZach Mayer was the first artist to headline a concert for the Boston Festival of New Jewish Music. Back in October\, 2021\, Zach and his band graced us with the music of “Zamru.” Now\, he’s back with a new album for us to enjoy. \nWith over 20 million hits on YouTube for his “Subway Sax Battle\,” Zach Mayer has performed with Bobby McFerrin\, John Zorn\, Questlove\, Jamie Cullum\, Big Boi (OutKast) Cyro Baptista\, Frank London\, Michael Alpert\, Joey Weisenberg\, and many more musicians you might recognize. He performs internationally with Zion80\, a 10-piece Jewish Afrobeat band inspired by the music of Shlomo Carlebach\, and his folk sextet\, Night Tree\, has toured internationally and has released two albums produced by Seamus Egan of SOLAS. He has been on the faculty at the Brandeis Institute of Music and Art and Laguardia Arts High School in Manhattan\, and teaches workshops around the US and Canada. Zach is the musical director of Kahal B’raira\, a humanistic Jewish congregation in Cambridge. He received his Masters of Music from the New England Conservatory in Boston\, and is a member of Hadar’s 2020-2022 Rising Song Fellowship.

Housing Up builds thriving communities in Washington\, DC by developing affordable housing and offering comprehensive support services to homeless and low-income families. \nThis project is open to volunteers in their 20s\, 30s\, and early 40s\, who will assist with setting up the community room\, tidying shared spaces\, and enhancing the outdoor areas to create a warm\, welcoming environment for families. Volunteers should plan to deep clean\, organize\, and decorate to brighten the space. This is a great opportunity to make a visible\, meaningful impact in partnership with Housing Up. Volunteers will have the option to meetup at a nearby restaurant for a brunch before the project. \nThe Housing Up site is located in the Petworth neighborhood of Washington\, DC\, and the exact address will be provided upon registration. DESCRIPTION:*Exact timing may flex a bit as we wander and eat our way through Chinatown. \nApril showers won’t slow us down. Join 30s Tribe for a Chinatown food adventure as we nosh our way through some local favorites and support small\, family-run businesses along the way. \nWe’ll start at Chu Shang Spicy (925 Arch Street) before making our way to a couple other delicious stops around Chinatown. Think dumplings\, noodles\, savory bites\, and good company. We’ll end the afternoon with a sweet treat. All of the spots we’ll visit have vegetarian options\, and the crawl is designed so we can share a few dishes at each stop. \nStreet parking is available nearby\, but Chinatown is also easy to reach by public transit—PATCO (8th & Market)\, the Market-Frankford Line (8th Street)\, and several bus routes stop just a few minutes from our meeting spot.
