SUMMARY:3GNY Yom HaShoah Commemoration 2026
DESCRIPTION:3GNY Yom HaShoah Evening of Remembrance 2026\nMonday\, April 13 2026\n6:30 (Doors open 6:00)\nMidtown East\, NYC\nLocation Provided Upon Registration \nJoin the 3GNY community for a participatory Yom HaShoah gathering as we come together to remember our grandparents\, honor those who were lost\, and reflect on the responsibility we carry forward. \nOur ceremony will once again be inspired by the Hitkansut Haggadah\, developed by the Shalom Hartman Institute\, while incorporating new voices and reflections from across our 3G community. Through poetry\, testimony\, and shared reflection\, we will create space to remember together – holding both the weight of loss and the resilience of those who survived. \nTogether we will move from “kinah\,” sitting in grief\, to “kimah\,” rising with renewed purpose and a commitment to human dignity. \nAll are welcome. For planning and security purposes\, RSVPs are required for each attendee.

SUMMARY:Abiding - Album Release Concert
DESCRIPTION:Celebrate with Zach Mayer for the release of his new album\, “Abiding\,” featuring Rabbi David Curiel.\n\n\nWhat happens when we stay just a little longer with what we’d rather avoid? Abiding\, the debut album from Rabbi David Curiel\, explores this territory through songs that are by turns tender\, questioning\, and rollicking—music for finding our way from fragmentation toward wholeness. \nThese songs emerged from years of healing work: grief rituals\, medicine ceremonies\, and the daily discipline of presence in an often overwhelming world. Recorded with producer Zach Mayer\, the album holds a simple understanding—we can’t heal what we won’t face\, but we’re not meant to face it alone. \nJoin David\, Zach\, and friends for an intimate concert in the round\, journeying through the full album beginning to end. This is more than a performance—it’s a shared space to breathe\, to feel\, and to abide together with what matters most. \n \nAbout Zach Mayer: \nZach Mayer was the first artist to headline a concert for the Boston Festival of New Jewish Music. Back in October\, 2021\, Zach and his band graced us with the music of “Zamru.” Now\, he’s back with a new album for us to enjoy. \nWith over 20 million hits on YouTube for his “Subway Sax Battle\,” Zach Mayer has performed with Bobby McFerrin\, John Zorn\, Questlove\, Jamie Cullum\, Big Boi (OutKast) Cyro Baptista\, Frank London\, Michael Alpert\, Joey Weisenberg\, and many more musicians you might recognize. He performs internationally with Zion80\, a 10-piece Jewish Afrobeat band inspired by the music of Shlomo Carlebach\, and his folk sextet\, Night Tree\, has toured internationally and has released two albums produced by Seamus Egan of SOLAS. He has been on the faculty at the Brandeis Institute of Music and Art and Laguardia Arts High School in Manhattan\, and teaches workshops around the US and Canada. Zach is the musical director of Kahal B’raira\, a humanistic Jewish congregation in Cambridge. He received his Masters of Music from the New England Conservatory in Boston\, and is a member of Hadar’s 2020-2022 Rising Song Fellowship.

SUMMARY:30s Tribe: Chinatown Food Crawl
DESCRIPTION:*Exact timing may flex a bit as we wander and eat our way through Chinatown. \nApril showers won’t slow us down. Join 30s Tribe for a Chinatown food adventure as we nosh our way through some local favorites and support small\, family-run businesses along the way. \nWe’ll start at Chu Shang Spicy (925 Arch Street) before making our way to a couple other delicious stops around Chinatown. Think dumplings\, noodles\, savory bites\, and good company. We’ll end the afternoon with a sweet treat. All of the spots we’ll visit have vegetarian options\, and the crawl is designed so we can share a few dishes at each stop. \nStreet parking is available nearby\, but Chinatown is also easy to reach by public transit—PATCO (8th & Market)\, the Market-Frankford Line (8th Street)\, and several bus routes stop just a few minutes from our meeting spot.

SUMMARY:Shabbat Exploration Series: Rodeph Shalom
DESCRIPTION:This is the April edition of our Shabbat Exploration Series! \nWe will be attending services and enjoying lunch at Congregation Rodeph Shalom on N. Broad Street. Rodeph Shalom is a Reform synagogue founded in 1795 and known for their Byzantine Revival style building. This experience will include participating in Torah study beginning at 9:15am\, sitting together for services at 10:45am\, and joining the congregation for a bagel brunch around noon. We are so grateful to our friends at Rodeph Shalom for welcoming us warmly into their beautiful space! \nLike every part of this series\, no prior experience is expected — the point is to try something new and not do it alone! You can sign up for just this one event as a drop in\, or join our Shabbat Exploration Series cohort to enjoy the full arc of programming. See below for details! \n— \nShabbat is a day of rest\, joy\, and connection\, and there are many ways to experience it. Maybe you want a break from your phone for a day\, or even just for a few hours\, but that might feel lonely. Maybe you’ve been wanting to check out a synagogue in town\, but don’t want to go by yourself. Maybe you want to connect over a leisurely Shabbat lunch and songs with other people\, feeling like there’s nowhere you have to rush off to\, just being fully in the moment. \nThis is the inspiration for our Shabbat Exploration Series. One Saturday a month from January to June\, rotate between synagogue-based experiences and home/nature-based ones with other 20s and 30s. This is a chance to explore different ways of doing Shabbat to see what fits for you individually\, while also forming friendships with people who are doing the same. The experiences are open to people who currently have any level of Shabbat observance\, including zero experience\, and there is no end goal regarding how you observe. Tribe 12 Rabbinic Intern Adina Ikeman and Tribe 12 Director of Engagement(s) Danielle Selber will lead this program. \nYou can drop in to individual experiences or sign up to be part of the cohort (people who commit to the whole series). \nParticipation options:  \nDrop in to individual events: Just interested in one or two offerings? You can register for any individual event just like any other program. \n\n$5 for synagogue-based experiences (includes a meal)\n$10 for home- or nature-based experiences (includes a meal)\n\nJoin the cohort: Want the full experience? Join a cohort of people exploring what Shabbat means\, together. Cohort members are automatically registered for every program in the series (if you need to miss any\, that is totally fine). \n\n$54 covers all Saturday morning experiences\nCohort members have the added perk of attending a closing Shabbat dinner with Danielle and Adina!\n\nSchedule: (subject to change and will be updated) \nSaturday\, January 31st: Potluck lunch and singing (Manayunk)\nSaturday\, February 21st: Synagogue experience (Society Hill Synagogue)\nSaturday\, March 21st: Shabbat lunch and walk (Wissahickon Park)\nSaturday\, April 11th: Synagogue experience (Rodeph Shalom)\nSaturday\, May 16th: Guided Shabbat hike (Northwest location TBA)\nSaturday\, June 6th: Synagogue experience (Center City location TBA)\nFriday\, May 29th: Closing Shabbat for cohort members (Location TBA) \n  \nQuestions? SUMMARY:Sinners' Shabbat: PHARAOH'S REVENGE
DESCRIPTION:BOW BEFORE THE KING!This Shabbat\, (following your blasphemous seder) the doors of Pharaoh’s palace swing open for a night of scandalous spectacle\, and biblical revisionism. Your gracious host\, Pharaoh himself\, invites you to set the record straight: Pharaoh was treated EXTREMELY unfairly by the fake\, lame-stream Bible and its pro-Moses propaganda machine. \nYou do not need to be Jewish to attend. Just be ready to offer unwavering fealty\, and ask no challenging questions. \nIT’S THE YEAR 2026: KINGS ARE BACK IN.Pharaoh and his loyal royal court will dazzle you with an evening of hors d’oeuvres\, burlesque\, drag\, acrobatics\, shibari\, music\, and palace-style debauchery. We will show all disloyal Hebrews how to host a REAL Shabbat. Not that wandering-the-desert\, manna-every-night austerity nonsense. We’re talking milk\, honey\, and a suspicious number of golden calves. \nDRESS LIKE YOU’VE BEEN PERSONALLY INVITED BY A GOD-KING.Trade in peasant chic for palace decadence. Consult the Royal Moodboard. The dress theme is Black & Gold. We welcome leather\, latex\, lace\, drag\, fetish fashion\, straps & ropes\, queer couture\, kink chic\, sensual silk\, and elevated eveningwear. Violators of the dress code will be banished to wander the desert for 40 years. \nCome prepared for the most opulent Shabbat Egypt has seen since someone let that Joseph guy run the economy. \nIMPORTANT FAQ:> You must be 21+ to attend.> Although this is a “sexy party”\, no sex acts will occur at the event\, real or simulated.> All ticket sales are pending approval. If your ticket is approved after review\, you will be sent an email confirmation. If not\, the payment hold will be released promptly. Approvals take 1-3 days. If your request is not approved in that window\, your ticket was not approved. Due to high demand\, we select participants to facilitate a balanced event\, taking into account multiple factors.> Unfortunately\, our venue is not ADA accessible.> We cannot guarantee gluten-free options. Food ingredients will be kosher\, but not prepared in a fully kosher kitchen.> A professional photographer will be documenting the event. Photos are subject to promotional use on social media. You are able to opt-out of photos by request. By attending this event you acknowledge the presence of photography\, and that you may be present in the background of some photos.> We do not accept refunds or ticket exchanges. If you find yourself unable to attend our event due to illness or emergency\, we completely understand and respect your decision. While we empathize with your situation\, as a small organization\, we face limitations in accommodating refund requests for emergencies and illnesses.
