Hillel International Role Overview

Hillel International’s Office of the President is looking for a talented and motivated associate to support the CEO and other senior leadership in representing Hillel by creating written and designed content across a number of internal and external channels, including social media, website, press events, staff meetings, and stakeholder communications. The Communications and Digital Media Associate will play an important role in elevating Hillel’s brand as part of the CEO’s messaging through these efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff in the Office of the President, the successful candidate will also work in close coordination with the Hillel International Marketing and Communications team.

What You’ll Do

Draft and support written communications (in email, presentation and other formats) from the CEO to internal and external stakeholders
Design slide decks, digital and social media collateral, and emails that elevate the visual component of the CEO’s communications
Identify, support and execute on opportunities for the CEO to share relevant stories and messaging on social media
Identify and support the participation of the CEO and other senior leaders in external events and convenings
Assist, as needed, with other initiatives of the Office of the President

What You’ll Bring to the Position

Journalism or communications degree, with excellent writing skills and experience
0-2 years of job related work experience
Strong understanding of social media, email outreach, design, UX, and messaging principles
Proven ability to set priorities, take initiative, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to follow up, and work effectively with all levels of management and staff
Familiarity with and interest in Hillel’s mission and work within the Jewish non-profit sector and higher education
