About Our Speaker
Evelyne Appel will share her story of fleeing from the Nazis during WWII and her family's participation in the resistance. Evelyne will recount her journey traveling from Paris to a small village in central France, then on to Lyon, Grenoble, and Switzerland. Afterwards, she will be joined by her daughters Nadine Holtz and Denise Baird, and grandson and 3GNY WEDU speaker Matt Holtz, to share their insights about growing up in a survivor family and the importance of continuing to share Evelyne's story today.
