Join ATID on Sunday, January 14th at 9:45 AM for an MLK weekend hike to the the classic downtown + mountains view on all the postcards! Our moderate route begins with an ascent of the Culver City stairs and continues to the MLK memorial obelisk in Kenneth Hahn State park. The hike is 5 miles round trip with ~900 ft of elevation gain and is expected to take two and three quarters hours.

In accordance with Sinai Temple’s COVID-19 protocols (https://www.sinaitemple.org/covid-19/), please stay home if you are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms or have been directly exposed to someone with Covid-19.

Bring: At least two liters of water, good hiking shoes, long pants, sun protection (sunscreen, hat), layered clothing, a snack, and of course a big smile on your face!

Meeting Point/Parking: Meeting Point/Parking: Meet at the trailhead at the intersection of Jefferson Blvd and Hetzler Rd near 6050 Jefferson Blvd, Culver City, CA 90232. Free street parking is available along Jefferson Blvd nearby.

If you are running more than 10-15 minutes late and we have already started, we’ll be ascending the Culver City stairs, following the Jim Webb Trail over the Park to Playa bridge, and then proceeding to the MLK memorial obelisk in Kenneth Hahn.

Dogs: Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on all sections of our route.
