Brunch & Learn: A Non-Traditional Yom Kippur Experience

Organizer: Base UWS
Ages 20s, 30s

For those who choose or are unable to fast, or those who do fast but don’t find themselves connecting to traditional Yom Kippur t’fillah (services), we are thrilled to be offering an alternative experience. Join Tamara on the morning of Yom Kippur for a communal conversation and text study all about forgiving ourselves and internal healing, accompanied by bagels & coffee.

Base UWS aims to create joyful, pluralistic, and diverse community for Jews in their 20s and 30s in New York City, all while inspiring folks to connect with Judaism in ways meaningful for them. Base UWS prioritizes cultivating a relationship with Torah, commitment to justice and equity, practice of compassion, learning, and growth, and the ability for each person to show up as their authentic selves.
