Desert Survival Skills

If you were to wander the desert for 40 years, what skills would you need to know to survive?

Join Trybal Gatherings and wilderness survival experts from LA’s School of Self Reliance on a hike in Malibu Creek State Park. Along the route, we’ll learn how the Israelites survived in a low resource environment and the skills that would be helpful should you ever be lost in the desert. This hands-on workshop will teach you skills such as how to create a shelter, water purification, orienteering, animal tracking, edible wildlife, fire-building, and more, all while connecting with new friends in nature.

  • When: Sunday, April 9 | 1:00 – 4:00 PM
  • Where: Malibu Creek State Park
  • Spots are limited! Registering early is highly recommended.

This experience is part of the Collective Escape citywide Passover festival powered by NuRoots, an initiative of The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Learn more: nuroots.org/collectiveescape
