Dreamwork Towards Freedom is a 3-part workshop series that explores text study, art making, and embodiment practices around a central question: How does the practice of dreaming — both while we’re awake and asleep — move us toward collective freedom? Using the Jewish Studio Process, we’ll explore the role of dreaming in creating future worlds, both as an abolitionist skillset as well as an ancient Jewish practice for ancestral guidance.
This workshop is created with the belief that we are all innately creative and have wisdom within us to share with the collective. Therefore, there is no prior experience with text study or art making required or expected. There will be a suggested donation of $18-36 per person, which will all go entirely towards compensating Maya for their time and supply costs.
Dates: 1/30, 2/7, and 2/13
