Hike & Havdalah

On Saturday, July 8, join TIYP (Temple Isaiah Young Professionals, our affinity group for 20s, 30s and early 40s folks) for a casual afternoon hike through Stoneview Nature Center in Culver City. As we soak in the sun and warmth of our company, let us close the week with the time-old tradition of a Havdalah service, led by Rabbi Zoe Klein Miles and songleader Sophie Feldman.
This event is free for participants. Those who choose can join afterward for no-host dinner & drinks at a nearby Culver City bar/restaurant.
Special Notes:
- Havdalah is the ritual of separation marking the end of Shabbat and beginning of a new week. We engage our senses through the taste of wine, smell of spices, sight of a braided candle, sound of a familiar melody and familiar touch of a community embrace
- Free parking is available at Stoneview Nature Center and surrounding streets
- Please bring a reusable water bottle with you and wear comfortable shoes
- We will depart on our hike at 5pm; please meet at the main building outdoors by the large community table
