Ages 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s+

Join us in the Museum at Eldridge Street’s historic Main Sanctuary on Sunday, June 23rd at 1pm for a symposium in partnership with  CultureNOW and the Lower Manhattan Historical Association, highlighting the cultural richness of the restored Eldridge Street Synagogue and its Lower East Side home.

SPEAKERS:
Rob Snyder: Manhattan Borough Historian; Professor Emeritus of Journalism and American Studies, Rutgers University-Newark
Seth Kaller: Seth Kaller, Inc, Historical Documents & Legacy Collections
Zachary Edinger: Sexton, Shearith Israel
Scott Brevda: Senior Manager, Education and Accessibility, Museum at Eldridge Street
Dawn Ladd: Founder & Principal, Aurora Lampworks
David Mazower: Research Bibliographer and Chief Curator, Yiddish Book Center

Through the lens of our historic synagogue and neighborhood, these speakers will explore themes of sacred versus secular, continuity versus change, and of course, how Lower Manhattan was the heart of it all.
