Lunch & Learn. A Druze Perspective with Gadeer Kamal-Mreeh

What’s it like to be a Druze woman and a leader in Israeli society? How are Israeli Druze dealing with the complexities of their identity during the war against Hamas?
For more perspective join us for Lunch and Learn with Gadeer Kamal-Mreeh, the Jewish Agency’s first Druze emissary to the United States. Gadeer was the first Druze woman to be elected to the Israeli Knesset, and in 2017 broke yet another barrier by becoming the first non-Jewish anchorwoman in Israel to broadcast the evening news in Hebrew. We’ll hear about Gadeer’s amazing triumphs against remarkable odds, her work to empower other women by creating opportunities for them to succeed, and what being a Druze Israeli is like today.
Lunch will be provided.
Presented in cooperation with the Jewish Agency For Israel.
