Join us for a host gathering to consider what it means to mark Jewish time during the High Holiday season while commemorating the first anniversary of October 7th. The past year has been filled with big feelings and outpourings of emotion. Many of us have felt deep sadness over the loss of innocent lives, sympathy for those forced to leave their homes, and significant confusion around our own beliefs, values, and alliances. To best support you - our hosts - during this time, we invite you to come together to explore how we can hold the High Holidays and the anniversary of October 7th through the lens of ritual. We invite you, through guided facilitation, to think about how rituals can hold our feelings, experiences, sorrows and hopes for the world we want to build together. This gathering will be facilitated by Tova Birnbaum, former Director of Jewish Content at OFJCC, who wrote OneTable's new guide A New Year, A Changed World: High Holidays After October 7th.
