Purimpalooza

Get ready to party with the JCCSF, Congregation Emanu-El, artists, musicians and community partners at the most vibrant Purim party San Francisco has to offer! Make some noise and join in the fun for all ages.

SCHEDULE
10:00 am – Noon: Purimpalooza
Celebrate in costume and community. Enjoy the traditions and story of Purim through crafts, games, hands-on activities, creating mishloach manot (Purim baskets) and more. Be dazzled by magic, show off your Purim look at the photo booth, enjoy our outdoor playground, play with bubbles, decorate a hamantaschen, and dance along to live music by Jonathan Bayer.

10:15 & 11:15 am: Nosh & Learn
An adults-only space to explore Purim traditions and ancient stories with Jewish educators.

11:00 am: Shushan Get Down
A special dance party for kids ages 7 and younger (and their grown-ups and siblings) to dance and jump around to live music by Melita & Friends.

Need a more mellow experience? Stop by the Chill Lounge to recharge in a quiet, calm and low sensory space.

Hamantaschen included.
Additional food available for purchase.

SPECIAL LIVE PERFORMANCE (TICKETS REQUIRED)
12:15 – 1:00 pm: Barbie-Themed Purim Shpiel
Empower yourself at our Purim festival where the spirit of Barbie meets the strength of Esther. Step into a world of courage and resilience as the Barbie-themed shpiel takes center stage. Picture Esther’s triumphs set to tunes that make you feel like you’re living in a modern-day “Barbie World.” With vibrant colors, the musical stylings of Congregation Emanu-El’s cantors, and a touch of Purim magic, this celebration is about breaking stereotypes and celebrating the strength within. Join Congregation Emanu-El clergy for a Purim experience that encourages everyone to be their own hero.

Seats are limited. You must reserve your seats in advance to attend the shpiel. When registering select Purimpalooza & Shpiel. Groggers provided.
