Shabbat 101

This is our most requested class to date and we cannot wait to dig into it with you. During this class we will explore the iconic Jewish spiritual technology of Shabbat. We will spend some time understanding the overarching themes and then we will spend the majority of the class getting into the nitty gritty, answering questions like: what are the prayers we say on Friday nights and Saturday mornings? How would I go about having a home shabbat practice? What are actually all of the rules?!

This class meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 beginning 11/13-12/11. We will also gather together for a songful Kabbalat Shabbat and dinner at Molly’s house in West Philly on 12/13. For the Wednesday class sessions we will be meeting in the conference room on the second floor of the Weitzman and dinner will be served at each class. The cost is $54 with no one turned away for lack of funds.
