Join the Spoons Tribe for 8th Night Candle Lighting!
Gather with us on Zoom as Mat leads candle lighting for the final night of Hanukkah. Whether you have your own menorah or are just joining for community, all are welcome. We’ll share stories, reflect on our Hanukkah experiences, and end the festival together in light and connection.
The Spoons Tribe is a new space to find community around disability, chronic illness, mental health, and fluctuating “spoons” or energy moments. We gather monthly on Zoom, and every other month in-person, to focus on building community that honors rest, accessibility, and the pace of our own bodies and lives. Gatherings may include gentle conversation, creative expression, easy adventure, or simply shared presence — always with the understanding that participation looks different for everyone. This is a space to connect without pressure, slow down, and be nourished by Jewish community.
Everyone is welcome, you don’t need a diagnosis or to identify a certain way to participate in Spoons Tribe. And to note, Spoons Tribes events will always be dry, alcohol-free, events.
Tribe 12 connects people in their 20s/30s to Jewish life and community in Philadelphia today so they will choose to stay connected tomorrow. We welcome people who identify as Jewish, whose partner is Jewish, or who are exploring Judaism. If you require any accommodations in order to fully participate in our programming, please see our page on accommodations. If you require any financial assistance to participate, contact us at info@tribe12.org.
