Swifties in the Sukkah @ Base UWS

Celebrate the release of Taylor Swift’s new album The Life of a Showgirl (October 3) with us under the sukkah!
We’ll be listening to the album together, making friendship bracelets, and learning a bit of Torah through gematria whileexploring the connection between numbers in Jewish tradition and the hidden clues in Taylor’s music.
(Gematria is a traditional Jewish system of assigning numerical values to Hebrew letters, words, and phrases.) Taylor is famous for planting hidden messages, numbers, and “easter eggs” in her work—both in the music itself and in everything around it. Together, it’s a (Swiftie Jewish Educator’s) match made in heaven.
Orange-theme (IYKYK) drinks and snacks provided.
Accessibility: If it’s nice out, we’ll gather on the fourth floor outdoor deck. There are eight steps leading up to Base UWS. There is an elevator that travels in between the first, second, and third floors. The elevator does not go up to the fourth floor outdoor deck, which has 22 stairs.
Address given upon registration. Please contact Rabbi Danny (danny.stein@memglobal.org) with any questions.
