The Daffodils Project: Plant Daffodils In Honor of the Holocaust

JCC Chicago, in partnership with JUF’s Russian-speaking Jewish Division and Holocaust Community Services CJE SeniorLife, is participating in The Daffodil Project which aspires to build a worldwide Living Holocaust Memorial by planting 1.5 million daffodils in memory of the 1.5 million children who were murdered during the Holocaust and in support for children suffering in humanitarian crises around the world. JCC Chicago welcomes all ages to come plant over 500 daffodils in a NEW memorial garden outside of their Northbrook location, Bernard Weinger JCC, (300 Revere Drive) on Sunday., October 9, from 11am-12:30pm. The community will gather for a dedication and blessing of the new garden and listen to Holocaust survivor Gdalina (Lin) Novitsky as she shares her and her family’s story. This event is FREE and registration is required by October 1.
