Tu Bishvat–the Jewish calendar’s tree celebration–is a holiday steeped in mysticism and ecological consciousness. The Neighborhood: An Urban Center for Jewish Life and Shefa: Jewish Psychedelic Support have partnered to present a Tu Bishvat ritual under the guidance of author, teacher, midrashist, mystic, poet, essayist, and priestess Rabbi Jill Hammer.
Inspired by the trees at the center of her new novel, The Moonstone Covenant, Rabbi Jill, alongside musicians Shoshana Jedwab and Basya Schechter, will take us on an arboreal journey of the soul using music, meditation, and more. Come sing, chant, taste, smell, and learn with us, while bathing in immersive tree imagery through wrap-around projection.
