Unexpected Topics in the Tradition: A Queer Series

The Jewish tradition is full of juicy stories, weird powers, and unexpected relationships. In this class we are going to dig deeper into these threads and tease out a more expansive picture of the weirdness that lives in our tradition.
This is a series designed and for queer people, if you feel like that describes you, please join us. The four topics we will explore are:
10/31 – Magic in the Talmud with Josie Felt
11/7 – Vampires and Werewolves with char hersh
11/14 – Relational Power Dynamics with Molly Paul
11/21 – Prophets as Trauma Literature with Rabbi Megan Goldmarche and Galia Godel
11/22 – Potluck Shabbat hosted in West Philly by Molly
Weather dependent, this program will be outdoors. If needed we will move the class inside and request that participants wear masks (we have some to give you). If you have any access needs/accommodations to make it more possible for you to attend, please email us and we will accommodate. All food provided will be vegetarian, kosher food can be provided upon request.
