Young JW3: Yom Ha’atzmaut Israeli Dance Class & Hebrew Social
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Join us for a lively and social evening to celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day!
We’ll start with welcome drinks and nibbles — and a special Hebrew language exchange where everyone is encouraged to speak and practice Hebrew in a friendly, low-pressure setting. Whether you’re fluent, just starting out, or somewhere in between, you’ll find helpful conversation prompts and vocab sheets to guide you. It’s a great chance to connect through language and culture before the dancing begins.
Next, get ready for a high-energy Israeli folk dance class led by Liat Oberlander from the Israeli Dance Institute.
Whether you’re a seasoned rikud pro or new to Israeli dance, this is the perfect way to celebrate Israeli culture, meet new people, and move to joyful rhythms. Come solo or bring a friend — all are welcome!
Remember to wear comfy clothes and shoes and bring a water bottle (which you can refill here).
Timings:
6.30pm — Welcome drinks, nibbles & Hebrew language exchange
7.15pm — Dance class (please arrive promptly)
Please note: This event will take place in the building. A booking fee of £2 and a security levy of £1.50 will be added to all orders. A friendly reminder that this event is for those in their 20s and 30s. Our Young JW3 community is all about building a safe and welcoming space, and we kindly ask that you respect this age guidance.
