Young Professional Hanukkah Games!

Are you a 21-40 year old looking to connect with other young professionals in the city and build a Jewish community? We have the group for you! We are a group at East End Temple creating monthly fun social activities to connect young professionals.

You are invited to our Young Professionals mEET-Up Hanukkah party! Join us at EET on East 17th Street for this event. We will have games available to play, gelt to gamble with and Latkes to eat. Feel free to bring your favorite game. We will have prizes for the winners! Please RSVP through eventbrite so we can get a headcount for the food.

In the spirit of holiday giving, we also have an amazing volunteer opportunity supporting a program called Ruth’s Refuge.

On a monthly basis, EET has been helping Ruth’s Refuge with apartment set-ups for new-to-New York City refugees. The set-ups occur on Sundays. The YP’s could do a January or February date.

Ruth’s Refuge secures the household items (donated by many individuals and corporations including the EET via our Social Justice fund). EET provides the people power to move these items from RR’s warehouse to the new apartment. In the past (and currently), members of the Social Justice Committee have helped with the moves, as have temple members and those from the Men’s Club.

We are organizing a YP group to help facilitate a move and we want to gauge interest in this type of volunteer work. It could be a great opporutnity to give back and connect with each other. We are looking for someone to lead this group, if you are intersted in organizing/leading please let me know!
