Jewish Young Community (JYC) - Morris County Area is a Jewish young adult organization based in Northern New Jersey. It provides a welcoming environment where individuals, couples, and young families of all denominations and observance levels can get together to make meaningful Jewish connections.
JYC offers a community for young professionals and graduate students in New Jersey to make friends, engage in meaningful prayer, celebrate our traditions and culture, and connect with the larger Jewish community.
We are open and welcoming to all, and strive to help our attendees connect to Judaism on a comfortable and meaningful level.
We offer many ways to enrich our participants’ Jewish lives through social activities such as Shabbat dinners, baking events, wine tastings, as well as social action events. They also enjoy hikes, trivia nights, meetups at local venues, temple hopping events, and so much more.
Most of our activities are held in and around Northern New Jersey, including but not limited to the counties of Morris, Essex, Passaic, Bergen and Union. In fact, many of our members are from Morristown, West Orange, Livingston, Springfield, Linden, Maplewood, Fair Lawn and Randolph.
