JCP Downtown
Jewish centers have been integral to sustaining Jewish life for more than two thousand years, and JCP’s story is no exception. JCP is a Jewish community in Tribeca, Manhattan. Since our official founding in 2002, we welcome all who seek a pluralistic experience rooted in the Jewish values of learning, connection, culture, and spirituality. Throughout the year, we offer a variety of touch points for Jewish life: Shabbat and holiday celebrations; education through our Early Childhood Center, Hebrew School, B’nai Mitzvah, and adult engagement programs; warm community gatherings, and volunteer opportunities. Our membership is diverse, and we are not affiliated with any movement of Judaism. We engage people of all religious orientations, backgrounds, and identities, including those from interfaith homes, the LGBTQ+ community, individuals newly converted to Judaism, and everyone in-between. We serve families and individuals living in neighborhoods all over New York City, includingTribeca, Battery Park City, SoHo, the West Village, the Financial District, and downtown Brooklyn, to name a few—and we welcome new members all-year round!
