Live Like a Startup for Business Professionals
Join Federation’s Affinities department for an inspiring and practical
conversation with Yaniv Rivlin, entrepreneur, investor, international keynote
speaker and former CEO of Bird Israel, who launched the first e-scooter
revolution outside of the US.
Yaniv will share how adopting a startup mindset can help business
professionals from all backgrounds navigate uncertainty, spark innovation and
create meaningful impact no matter your role or sector. Through real-world
examples and actionable insights, Yaniv will challenge the way you think about
leadership, risk and opportunity, leaving you with a powerful mindset and
practical tools needed to think differently, spot hidden opportunities, take
bold initiative, and make a tangible impact in any situation. The first 100
registrants will be guaranteed a copy of Yaniv’s bestselling book, _Live Like
a Startup._
Before Yaniv’s presentation, you will have ample time to enjoy drinks,
appetizers and connect with your fellow Jewish Detroit business professionals.
The room will be filled with business owners, entrepreneurs, investors and
professionals in a range of fields, from finance to tech to hospitality.

Good Vibes and Tie Dyes
Join Federation’s LGBTQIA+ community as we head to Detroit Dye House for a
master class in the art of tie dying! Everyone will have the opportunity to
dye three items. We’ll all dye a pair of socks, which will be donated to a
local non-profit, a tote bag and your choice of one of the following: a pair
of socks, a t-shirt or a pashmina scarf. There will be non-alcoholic drinks
and some sweet treats on hand to make it a party. Whether you’re a seasoned
tie-dyer or it’s your first time picking up a squeeze bottle, we’re sure
you’re going to make some beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. It’s going to be
dye-lightful!
Tie-dying can get messy, so dress accordingly. Aprons will be provided. The
class is one-hour long. Please arrive when the event starts so you have ample
time to schmooze and get settled at your station.
$36 per person includes, class, supplies, items to dye and refreshments.
Please RSVP in advance by March 13.
This event is intended for Jewish adults 21+.
