Matchmaking is an ancient Jewish tradition. In fact, it is a mitzvah to make a shidduch.
As a young professional actively involved in the D.C. Jewish community, our founder Miriam Levitin heard over and over from her dear friends that they were struggling to find a compatible Jewish partner. While she kept an eye out for matches amongst her circle, she realized she needed to have access to a broader pool to find their beshert. Thus, Luv with Lev was born!
Most matchmakers charge thousands of dollars, making their services accessible only to the uber-wealthy. Luv with Lev utilizes a unique, community-based model, where a large number of people pay a small monthly fee to be part of the matchmaking database.
With a background in social work, sexuality education, and program management, Miriam is well-positioned to provide this valuable service. Having personally experienced the power of sharing her life with a loving partner, Miriam’s mission is to foster healthy relationships within her local Jewish community.
