Each year at the Passover seder, we read aloud, Kol dichfin yay-tay v’yay-chol (Let all who are hungry come and eat). As we prepare for eight days of forgoing chametz (foods with leaven) to symbolically represent our past oppression, we’re also reminded that there are those in our city who still struggle with food insecurity.
