JVS Careers, Cincinnati, OH

JVS Careers is a Cincinnati nonprofit that has been helping people find meaningful work for over 75 years. Originally founded as Jewish Vocational Service to help Jewish immigrants enter the workforce, the agency has evolved to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds across Greater Cincinnati and beyond, with a vision of being the leader in delivering meaningful employment opportunities for all.

For job seekers, JVS Careers provides career and executive coaching for people who are unemployed, unhappily employed, or looking to enhance their leadership and management skills. Services include connecting job seekers with employers and mentors, one-on-one support throughout the job search process, assistance with resumes and cover letters, organization of job search plans, and interview preparation.

For employers, JVS Careers offers businesses access to qualified candidates from entry level to executive. The team meets with employers to identify their needs, then prescreens and recommends qualified individuals. Executive and leadership coaching, as well as outplacement services, are also available to area businesses.

JVS Careers also administers scholarship and grant programs for post-secondary education, including the Hilb Scholarship Fund (established through a bequest to the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati), helping students pursue their educational goals.
