About Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey

The Jewish Federation in the Heart of New Jersey (also known as the Jewish Federation of Middlesex and Monmouth Counties) brings together people, partners, and resources to fulfill the most important needs and aspirations of the Jewish community in Monmouth and Greater Middlesex counties. The organization describes itself as serving a diverse community, welcoming members who are “straight, gay, single, married, inter-married, Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Democrat, Republican” and more, united by a shared commitment to doing good in the Jewish world.

The Federation and its partners aid those living with hunger, mental illness, addiction, and financial or personal crises, while also combating antisemitism and enhancing security at community gathering places. It works to invest in a vibrant Jewish future, connect the community with Israel and Jews overseas, and inspire young people to embrace Jewish life.

Headquartered in South River, New Jersey, the Federation coordinates community resources, funds local agencies and synagogues, and runs initiatives such as a Center to Combat Antisemitism. It serves as the central hub connecting Jewish residents, organizations, and synagogues throughout the Monmouth and Greater Middlesex region.
