CJP – Combined Jewish Philanthropies

CJP (Combined Jewish Philanthropies) is Greater Boston’s Jewish Federation, founded in 1895 as the Federation of Jewish Charities of Boston. As the oldest Jewish Federations of North America affiliate, CJP has spent over 130 years bringing together people and resources to build a thriving, inclusive Jewish community across Greater Boston, turning shared Jewish values into meaningful action.

CJP raises tens of millions of dollars annually through its community campaign to fund a broad portfolio of Jewish life, including support for vulnerable populations, Jewish education, young families, teens, young adults, and community security. Its work extends beyond Boston to Israel and Jewish communities around the globe, funding humanitarian relief, engagement, and educational initiatives.

The organization mobilizes the diverse Greater Boston Jewish community around a common purpose: igniting positive change at home, in Israel, and across the globe. Programs supported by CJP touch nearly every stage of Jewish life, from early childhood and day schools to teen initiatives, young adult engagement, and services for older adults and people with disabilities.
