About Jewish Family Service of MetroWest NJ

Jewish Family Service of MetroWest New Jersey (JFS MetroWest) has been helping families and people of all ages and backgrounds manage life’s challenges since 1861, serving the diverse community on a non-discriminatory basis in Essex, Morris, Sussex, and North Union counties. What began as the Hebrew Benevolent Orphan Society has grown into a premier mental health and social service agency serving the greater MetroWest community.

The agency offers a wide range of programs including outpatient mental health counseling (licensed by the New Jersey Department of Human Services), domestic violence services, child and adolescent services, older adult and caregiver support, special needs and support coordination services, Holocaust survivor services, case management, Hebrew Free Loan, and adoption services.

Guided by Jewish values of compassion and respect for all people, JFS MetroWest is committed to being the premier agency in the MetroWest New Jersey area for social services and mental health needs, delivering support with professionalism, humanity, and respect regardless of religion or background.
