Mandel JCC of Cleveland

The Mandel JCC of Cleveland, known locally as “The J,” is a nonprofit fitness, wellness and community center serving people at every stage of life in Northeast Ohio. Founded in 1948 through the merger of four community organizations, the J has grown into a multifaceted campus in Beachwood featuring a state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics center, a 5-Star Ohio-rated Early Childhood Center, the Stonehill Conference Center, and outdoor grounds hosting its popular summer J-Day Camps.

Beyond fitness and childcare, the Mandel JCC offers year-round family, arts, cultural, and Jewish programming, including the Cleveland Jewish Book Festival and Cleveland Jewish FilmFest, along with youth camps such as Camp Wise. The center receives support from the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, grants, donations, and other public funding sources.

The J is inclusive and open to all people in the Greater Cleveland community regardless of race, religion, identity, or location, while enriching Jewish life and continuity for its members. Its mission is to build, connect, and strengthen the Jewish and greater Cleveland communities through exceptional lifelong programs and services.
