The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee

The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee has served the Jewish community of Sarasota and Manatee counties since 1959, growing from a small Main Street office into a 32-acre campus on McIntosh Road. Its mission is to strengthen Jewish life and identity in the local community, provide for Jewish people in need around the world, and promote support for Israel.

As the hub of Jewish life in the region, the Federation acts as a community convener, fostering open dialogue and connecting newcomers and longtime residents alike through more than 30 programs each season. It provides partnership grants to local Jewish organizations and synagogues, supports humanitarian and cultural needs across the Jewish and broader community, and funds initiatives locally, in Israel, and around the world.

The Federation’s Greenspon Campus for Jewish Life serves as a safe, secure hub for community building, learning, and cultural exchange. In addition to grantmaking and programming, the organization runs signature events, missions to Israel, young adult and social engagement initiatives (including JFriends), and communications through its Jewish News media platform, all aimed at building a stronger, safer, and more connected Jewish future in the Sarasota-Manatee area.
